Campus Centrex Telephone Line Treatments

Each University of California at Berkeley centrex telephone line is assigned a treatment that defines what types of calls may be made or received. The principal use of line treatments is to restrict unauthorized long-distance calling. All treatments allow emergency dialing (911).

Some common administrative telephone line treatments and their effects are listed below.

For purposes of defining line treatments "Domestic" includes U.S.A. states, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. "Domestic" does not include American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (C.N.M.I.) or Guam.
